Job Summary

Port Angeles Composite is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support the development and optimization of manufacturing processes across our aerospace operations. This role focuses on improving production efficiency, throughput, and overall performance through the application of industrial engineering principles.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in applying lean manufacturing concepts within a production environment. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Industrial Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide summary analysis and performance metrics for production departments

• Implement lean manufacturing principles and industrial engineering techniques to improve efficiency and quality

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes using engineering methods

• Analyze and support value stream design, including capacity, throughput, workflow, and logistics

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and operational goals

• Assist with program management and manufacturing engineering support as needed

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and CAD/CAM software

• Experience with CATIA and Autodesk/AutoCAD required

• Ability to read and interpret complex aerospace blueprints and specifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions: 

This position includes a combination of office and production-related work.

• Approximately 70% office-based work including data input, analysis, and process development

• Approximately 30% work supporting production, including data collection and process improvement activities

• Ability to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the facility

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
