Quality Receiving Inspector (Entry Level)

Job Summary

Port Angeles Composite is seeking a Quality Receiving Inspector (Entry Level) to join our Quality Assurance team. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, hardware, tooling, and customer-supplied products to ensure they meet engineering specifications and company quality standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Quality Receiving Inspector (Entry Level) Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming materials, hardware, tooling, and customer-supplied products.

• Verify purchase orders, packing slips, certifications, and related documentation.

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring equipment.

• Maintain accurate inspection records and material traceability.

• Identify and report nonconforming materials.

• Support the calibration program by maintaining equipment records.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready inspection area.

• Follow all quality and safety procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Manufacturing, warehouse, receiving, or quality inspection experience preferred but not required.

• Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to read and follow written instructions.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  
  

Working Conditions:

This position is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Exposure to production equipment, forklifts, composite materials, and industrial noise.

• Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.

• Occasional overtime may be required to support production schedules and customer deliveries.
